Christine Lucinda Steinruck

Mrs. Christine Lucinda Steinruck, age 73, of Laporte, PA, passed away peacefully on Friday morning, August 26, 2022, in the comfort of her home.

Christine was born on December 23, 1948, in Muncy Valley, PA, a daughter of the late Richard Keith and Erla Jean Phillips Hacker. She graduated from the Sullivan County High School, a member of the class of 1968. She married Leo “Todd” Steinruck Jr. on July 13, 1968, and enjoyed 51 years of marriage before Todd’s passing on October 31, 2019.

She worked for many years as a custodian at the Sullivan County High School, and also was a baby sitter for many local families.

She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her granddaughter. In her later years, she enjoyed watching television.

Christine is also survived by her beloved dog Sparky, and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

          Besides her parents and husband, she was predeceased by an infant brother, Kirk H. Hacker on December 29, 1960.  

A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, September 2nd, 2022, at 4:00 P.M., at the Homer Funeral Home, 206 Water St., Dushore, PA, with the Rev. John Neiswender, pastor, officiating.

Friends and family may call on Friday afternoon from 3:00 PM until the start of the service at 4:00 PM, at the Homer Funeral Home, 206 Water St, Dushore, PA.
