Yvonne M. Evangelisti

Mrs. Yvonne M. Evangelisti, age 80 of Mildred, PA passed away peacefully at home on Monday, May 01, 2017.             Yvonne was born in Murraytown, PA on March 14, 1937, the youngest of 10 children to the late Constantine & Josephine Chrzanowski.  Yvonne graduated from Turnpike High School, a member of the class of 1954.  She married John Evangelisti of Mildred on August 23, 1958.  They were happily married for 58 years and raised six children.             She was the Earned Income Tax Collector for Sullivan County for many years until the office was taken over by Berkheimer.             Yvonne was an active member of St. Francis of Assisi Church in Mildred, PA and a member of its Altar and Rosary Society.  She also belonged to the American Legion Auxiliary in Mildred.   Yvonne loved to read, do puzzles and visit with her family and friends.   Surviving:   Husband: John                                                                                        Daughters and sons-in-law: Annette Evangelisti & Bob Arlene & Tom Kline     Sons and daughters-in-law: John & Linda Evangelisti                                 Mark & Karen Evangelisti Grant & Tricia Evangelisti                                           13 Grandchildren: Dana & Gregory Hagemeyer, Lindsay Serafini, Sherriel, Caroline, Bernadette and Italia Mandville, Raquel Evangelisti & Sam, Matthew Evangelisti, Keith Evangelisti, Alison & Justin Richmond, Benjamin Evangelisti, Lexi Evangelisti, and Steele Evangelisti.    Her legacy also includes 11 great grandchildren.   Brother:               Bernard Chrzanowski                                Sister: Eleanor Grandinetti                                   Several brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, and dear friends.             She was predeceased by a daughter, Sheri Lynn and a grandson, Steven. And also brothers:  Walter (infant), John, Francis “Chet” and Edward Chrzanowski; and sisters: Helen Ottaviani, Theresa Vikers, and Wanda Andrewlavage.             A Transferal Service will be held on Friday, May 5th, 2017, at 10:30 A.M. from the P. Dean Homer Funeral Home, 206 Water St., Dushore, PA and will be followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 A.M. at St. Francis of Assisi Church, Mildred, PA with Rev. Richard Rojas, her pastor, presiding.  Interment will follow in St. Francis Cemetery.             Friends may call at the P. Dean Homer Funeral Home, 206 Water St., Dushore, PA on Friday morning at 9:00 A.M. until the start of the transferal.             Memorial contributions may be sent to the Sullivan County Library, PO Box 309, Dushore, PA 18614 in loving memory of Yvonne M.
