Stephen Anthony Cymerman Jr, age 84, of Laporte Township, PA, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 5, 2021, at his home with his loving family at his side.
Steve was born February 17, 1937, in Philadelphia, PA, the son of the late Stephen A. & Mary Agnes (Reiss) Cymerman, Sr. He graduated from the LaSalle College High School, a member of the class of 1955. After high school, he enlisted in the US Army and was honorably discharged in September of 1957. He then entered LaSalle University and graduated with a BS in accounting, class of 1961.
He married the former Margaret Mary Quirk of Philadelphia, PA, on April 25, 1959. They recently celebrated their 62nd wedding anniversary.
Steve worked as an accountant for Nolen & Swinburne Associates, then for Vitetta Architects and Engineers, and later Keystone Adjustable Cap Co., of Pennsauken, NJ, and retired to Laporte Township, Sullivan County in 1990.
Steve was an avid car enthusiast and hunter. Drag racing and archery were a few of his favorite pastimes. He collected several trophies throughout the years that he was very proud of.
Margaret and Steve are members of St. Basil’s Church, Dushore, PA.

Stephen was predeceased by a grandson: Alexander Patrick Barletta, and a sister-in-law: Lynn Cymerman.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, November 20th, 2021, at 11:00 AM, at St. Basil’s Church Dushore, PA with the Rev. Thomas J. Major, presiding. Interment will be in the Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, PA.
Military Honors will be accorded by members of the United States Army Honor Detail at the conclusion of the Mass.
Friends may call at the church on Saturday morning, November 20, 2021, from 10:30 AM until the start of Mass at 11:00 AM.
