Stanley David Seiber, age 81, of Millerton, PA, passed away early Saturday morning, November 4, 2023, at the Highlands Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Laporte, PA. His family is grateful for the care he received during his stay there.
Stanley was born on April 23, 1942, in Binghamton, N.Y. He was the son of the late Richard Lawrence and Naomi Mary (Potter) Seiber. His passing marks the end of his generation of Seibers.
After high school, he served as an airman 2nd Class in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam Era. He was stationed at the Dover Air Force base. Upon his honorable discharge, Stanley worked as a spacesuit technician for NASA at Cape Canaveral. Later, he was an escort driver for vehicles.
On December 26, 1989, he married the former Nancy Lee Hughes, whom he lovingly called “Wifey.” They celebrated their 33rd wedding anniversary last year.
He enjoyed cars of all types, dirt and NASCAR races, taking care of his home and yard, and heart-breakingly beautiful old-time country music. He led an austere life and spent the last 20 years of it as a sober man.
