Ruth Marie Post Tuttle, age 85, of Sugar Run, PA, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 18, 2018, at the Skilled Nursing Unit of Guthrie Memorial Hospital, Towanda, PA.
Ruth was born in Wyalusing, PA, on June 22, 1932, a daughter of the late Frank and Gertrude Heath Post. She graduated from the Wyalusing Valley High School. After school she met Raymond Tuttle of Sugar Run, PA, at a square dance in Camptown. They were married on March 14, 1952 right before Ray was drafted into the United States Army. She worked various jobs over the years, including as a cook in the Wyalusing School District cafeteria. She and Ray also ran her family’s dairy farm on Grant Hill for 28 years. After retiring and selling the farm they traveled the United States. Ray predeceased her on February 9, 2013.
Ruth loved to spend time with her family, especially her grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She loved nature, watching and feeding the deer and birds. She enjoyed working in the garden and growing beautiful flowers. Ruth also enjoyed going for rides on the Kubota UTV with Ray around their property. She loved to crochet and made many afghans for her children, grandchildren, and friends. She liked paying card games, dominoes, and bingo with friends and relatives.

A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, April 23, 2018, at 11:00 A.M. at the P. Dean Homer Funeral Home, 1 Grovedale Lane, Wyalusing, PA, with the Rev. Heather M. Baker-McAllister officiating. Interment will be at the Wyalusing Cemetery, Wyalusing, PA.
Friends may call on Monday morning from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service at the P. Dean Homer Funeral Home, 1 Grovedale Lane, Wyalusing, PA.
