Robert Joseph Glaudel

Robert J. Glaudel, age 80, of Dushore, PA, passed away on Thursday, July 14, 2022, at the Cleveland Clinic, Cleveland, OH.

        Bob was born on January 11, 1942, in Ashland, PA, a son of the late Thomas J. & Mary Morz Glaudel.  He grew up in Mount Carmel, PA, and graduated from the Mount Carmel High School, a member of the class of 1959.  

          After graduation, Bob enlisted in the US Navy and served from 1959 to 1962.  He then, through the GI Bill, went to the Union Carbide (now Dow Chemical) trade school, graduating in 1971.  He married the former Donna J. Krebs, of Shamokin, PA, on September 17, 1966.  They celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary last September.

          Bob worked for Union Carbide for 38 years, retiring to Sullivan County in 2001. 

          He was a member of St. Basil’s Church in Dushore, PA, and a member of McDermott Post #452 American Legion in Mildred, PA.  He was also a lifelong member of the N.R.A.

          He enjoyed hunting and fishing and taking long rides with Donna on many of the back roads in Sullivan County.

          A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, August 20, 2022, at 11:00 AM in St. Basil's Church, Dushore, PA, with the Rev. Thomas J. Major, presiding. A Celebration of his life will follow at the McDermott Post #452 American Legion in Mildred, PA.
