Raymond L. Quava, age 81, of Easton, PA, passed away suddenly and peacefully on Friday, October 4, 2019, at his home.
Ray was born February 4, 1938, in Exeter, PA, a son of the late Nicholas & Helen A. Koslowski Quava. He grew up in White Haven and graduated from the White Haven High School a member of the class of 1955. Ray graduated from King’s College in Wilkes-Barre, PA with a B.S. in Accounting in 1961.
He played basketball in High School in White Haven and also at King’s College.
He married the former Alice Jean Cegielski of New Brunswick, NJ, in 1963. Jean predeceased Ray on May 10, 2004.
Ray lived in Laporte, PA, and worked for Carey McFall in Montoursville and CertainTeed in Mountaintop, and later for Delbar Products in Perkasie, PA.
While in Sullivan County, Ray was a member of the Laporte Little Theater Group and also enjoyed hunting, fishing and shooting darts. He was a member of the former Sacred Heart Church in Laporte, PA, and volunteered with the Laporte Fire Department.
Ten years ago, Ray met a wonderful woman, Kathy Felix. Ray and Kathy spent a lot of time together golfing, bowling, dancing, and traveling.
Ray loved his family and was proud of his daughters and their children. He attended many sporting events to watch his beloved grandchildren. He had a special bond with them all. Ray embraced life and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister, Marjorie A. Stolpe of Mountain Top, PA, on November 11, 2011; and a nephew David “Butch” Stolpe of Freeland, PA, on June 3, 2014, and an infant brother Edward.
Friends may call at the P. Dean Homer Funeral Home, 206 Water St., Dushore, PA, on Saturday morning October 12th, 2019, from 10:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M.
A Transferal Service will be held at 11:00 A.M. and will be followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 A.M. at St. Basil’s Church, Dushore, PA, with the Rev. Thomas J. Major, pastor, presiding.
Interment will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Laporte, PA.
