Norris William Mosier

Norris William Mosier, age 81, of Sugar Run, PA, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 23, 2019, at his home with his loving family at his side.

          Norris was born, July 26, 1937 in Sayre, PA, son of the George & Louise Johnson Mosier.  He attended the Wyalusing Valley High School. He married Julia “Judy” A. Allen of Canton, PA, on August 23, 1958.  They celebrated their 54^th anniversary in 2013. Judy predeceased him on February 14, 2013.

          After getting married they lived in Homet’s Ferry for a few years, and then moved to Sugar Run, where they ran the farm for Henry Turrell.  He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He liked working outdoors on the farm, mowing the yard, brush hogging, and going to local restaurants for lunch.

          Seven grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

          He was predeceased by two infant children, baby boy Mosier and Chris Mosier, 2 Grandchildren: Austin Cook and Daniel Mosier, Five brothers: George, John, Paul, Jack, and Robert Mosier, and a son-in-law, Duane Taylor on February 24, 2014.

          A private service will be held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are under the direction of the P. Dean Homer Funeral Home, 1 Grovedale Lane, Wyalusing, PA.

          The family will provide the flowers and requests that donation be sent to the Hollenback United Methodist Church, PO Box 155, Wyalusing, PA 18853.
