Michael Anthony Arabia, age 69, of Lambert Hill Road, Forks Township, passed away on Friday, April 13, 2018, at his home with his loving family at his side, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Mike was born, March 2, 1949, in Coatesville, PA, a son of the late Anthony and Jean Jackson Arabia. He graduated from the Henderson High School, West Chester, PA, a member of the class of 1967.
He served in the US Army during the Vietnam War, stationed in Vietnam as a Military Policeman, with the rank of Corporal.
He married the former Doris Rissinger of West Chester, PA, on June 20, 1980. Mike was retired from the A&P (The Great Atlantic and Pacific Tea Co.) as a Produce Manager. He and Doris retired to Forks Township in 2009.
Mike was a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church in West Chester and a member of Knights of Columbus, Council # 1333, West Chester; life-time member of V.F.W. Post # 106 West Chester and Loyalsock Post #996 American Legion, Dushore; Good Will Fire Co., West Chester and the Vietnam Veterans of America.
Mike was an avid hunter and fisherman and greatly enjoyed living in Sullivan County.

A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, April 19th, 2018 at 12:00 Noon at the P. Dean Homer Funeral Home, 206 Water St., Dushore, PA, with the Rev. Richard Rojas, pastor of St. Basil’s Church, presiding.
Friends may call on Thursday morning April 19th from 11:00 A.M. until the time of the service.
The family will provide the flowers and ask that memorial contribution in Mike’s member be directed to the Sullivan County Library, PO Box 309, Dushore, PA 18614.
Military Honors will be accorded by members of Loyalsock Post #996, American Legion and the US Army Honor’s Detail. Members are asked to assemble and pass in review at 11:45 A.M. at the funeral home.
