Marian "Mikki" Swanson

          Marian “Mikki” Swanson, age 95, of Sonestown, PA, passed away on Wednesday, January 24, 2018, at the Gatehouse in Williamsport with her loving family at her side.             Marian was born May 26, 1922, in Davidson Township, Sullivan County, PA.  She was a daughter of the late Glennis H. & Edna A. Sperry Rickert.  She graduated from Kane High School, in Kane, PA, a member of the class of 1940 and also received her degrees in Music and Physical Education from the University of Michigan.  While at Michigan, she met John Swanson whom she married on July 12, 1947.  John predeceased her in 1980.   She was a former member of the Eagles Mere Country Club, and enjoyed life to the fullest.   Surviving: Children: Erik (Mary) Swanson                                        Edgemont, SD Karl (Andrea) Swanson                                     Rye, NH Christian Swanson                                           Tallahassee, FL Jana Swanson (Larry) Miller                               Voorheesville, NY Greta Swanson (Dennis) Howland                      Tallahassee, FL   16 Grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren.   She was predeceased by her brother, Glennis S.
