LeeAnn Burgess, age 67, of Wyalusing, PA, and formerly of Laceyville, PA, passed away unexpectedly late Thursday evening, February 29, 2024, at her home.
LeeAnn was born on January 27, 1957, in Baltimore, MD, a daughter of the late Lawrence E. and Doris Diesel Whipple Sr. She grew up in Laceyville and graduated from Wyalusing Valley High School, a member of the class of 1975.
Throughout her life she worked at several agencies that helped those with intellectual disabilities, and was currently employed at the Wyalusing School District as a Paraprofessional Aide.
She loved her work, and cared very deeply for all of those she worked with over the years. While she dedicated most of her professional time to caring for others, in her time off she loved a good yard sale, casino trip, or restaurant, and took great joy in the treasures she found, and memories she made.
