Lee R. Sharrow, age 74, of Mildred, PA passed away, peacefully, on Monday, November 13, 2017, at the Highlands Care Center, where he has been a resident for the past 3 years, with his loving family by his side. Lee was born on January 8, 1943, to the late Ralph and Harriet Snyder Sharrow, of Nordmont, PA. He married the former Marie Collins on July 16, 1966, in St. Francis of Assisi Church in Mildred. Marie predeceased him on December 25, 2013. They were married 47 years. He attended Sullivan Highland School in Sonestown, a member of the graduating class of 1962. Lee worked for Pennsylvania Dept. of Transportation for a short time, and at Dolly Madison Creamery in Dushore, until it closed in 1972. He then began working for Masonite Corporation in Towanda, PA, until he was struck with illness and was forced to retire. He was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Church in Mildred, PA. He was also very active in the Mildred Volunteer Fire Company from 1966, holding offices and being very active in numerous fund raising events, until his illnesses forced him to step down. He was also a former member of White Ash Land Association. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. Lee thoroughly enjoyed family gatherings and especially spending time with his two grandsons. He is survived by his son, Michael Sharrow, Mildred; daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Emery Smith, Dushore; grandsons, Ryan and Evan Smith, Dushore; brother, Wayne (June) Sharrow, Rochester, NY; Sister-in-law, Rosalind Sharrow, Hughesville, Sister-in-law Sherrill Collins, Lowman, NY; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Besides his parents and wife, Lee was predeceased by sisters, Shirley Sharrow and Lois Booth, brother, Dale Sharrow, Brother-in-laws, Vernon Booth and James “Bonzo” Collins, and two infant grandsons. A Transferal service will be held on Friday morning, November 17, 2017 at 10:00 A.M. from the P. Dean Homer Funeral Home, 206 Water ST., Dushore, PA and will be followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 A.M. in St. Francis of Assisi Church, Mildred, PA with his pastor, Rev. Richard Rojas, presiding. Interment will be in St. Francis of Assisi Cemetery. Friends may call from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. on Thursday, Nov 16th, 2017 at the P.
