Joan Yates, age 75, of Dushore, PA passed away on Wednesday, June 28, 2017, at her home.             Joanie was born on April 20, 1942, in Philadelphia, PA a daughter of the late William Lyons Stewart Sr. and Evelyn Catherine Castor Stewart Winslow. She graduated from Pemberton High School in Pemberton, NJ.             She is survived by her ex-husband Alfred T. Yates Jr. (Junie) of Ewing, NJ; four sons, Randall Lee Stewart, and wife Michele of Ewing, NJ, Brian Keith Yates, and wife Joanna of Jackson, NJ, Scott Taylor Yates and wife Donna of Ewing NJ, and Christopher Jon and wife Stacy of Bristol, PA; Two daughters, Lisa Ann Yates of Ewing, NJ and Sandra Dee Yates and husband Michael Kenny of Cynthiana, KY; Two brothers, William Lyons Stewart Jr. and wife Marian of Sahuarita, AZ and Norman Joseph Stewart of Breinigsville PA; one sister Isabella M. and husband George I. Hampton, Jr. of Breinigsville, PA; 14 grandchildren, Madison Rose, Elizabeth Catherine, and Faith Lauren Stewart, Joseph Sebastion and Anabella Gianma Yates, Shane Michael Yates, Ean Michael Yates, Taylor Marie Kenny, Kylie Joyce Yates, Brynlie Yates, Heather Renee Chaisson and husband Ben, Justin Robert Kowalczyk and wife, Laura, and 4 great-grandchildren Tayleigha Noelle Yates, Isabella Nicole and Holden Taylor Chaisson and Logan Adam Kowalczyk.  She is also survived four nephews, Shaun William and Rade Robert Stewart, Shawn Michael Hampton, and Michael Howard Lapp, and one niece, Stacy Lynn Hampton; and two cousins, Patricia A. Castor Devine and Doris C. Castor Rabbitt.   Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her stepfather, Don David Winslow, a sister-in-law, Patricia Lee Stewart, uncles, Norman Robert Castor and wife Eldora, Vernon George Castor, Sr. and wife Eleanor, Joseph and wife Marion, and cousins Vernon George Castor, Jr. and wife Marilea.   She owned and operated a dry cleaning and laundromat business with her husband for many years and worked at the Towne and Country Florist in Ewing, NJ. She also worked for FMC as a Laboratory Assistant, at American Cyanamid as a Scientific Technician and at BASF Corporation as a Scientific Associate where she retired from. While in Dushore, she worked for a short time at the Sullivan County Library.             Joanie loved her family and many friends.  She enjoyed meeting new people and making friends, listening to music and dancing, and had a great sense of humor and loved to make people laugh.  She loved children and animals. She enjoyed crocheting and made beautiful afghans.               She was a member of the McDermott American Legion Post #452, Ladies Auxiliary in Mildred, PA where she served as secretary, the VFW Post 5542 Terchon Post in Bristol, PA as well as other veteran organizations.  She has donated to many veterans organizations for a number of years.             Having lived in Dushore for the last 10+ years, Joanie made many friends and was well known for her contagious smile and congenial personality. She will be missed by all who knew her.             Memorial Services will be announced at a later date.             Memorial contributions may be made in Joan’s name to a Veterans Organization of your choice.             Funeral Services are under the direction of the P.
