James Arthur Brown Sr.

James Arthur Brown Sr., age 60, of Dushore, PA, passed away on early Monday morning, January 9, 2023, at his home.

          Jim was born on December 16, 1962, in Waterloo, NY, the son of Shirley Ann Fillingham Brown and the late John W. Brown. He grew up in upstate NY and graduated from the Romulus High School, in Romulus, NY, a member of the class of 1980. He subsequently joined the United States Army and honorably served for three years and then served with the United States Navy until his honorable discharge on August 28, 1986.

          He was currently working at Cargill Meat Solutions in Wyalusing, PA, and previously worked at Johnson Stone Quarry in Stevensville, PA.

          He enjoyed: hunting, fishing, the Miami Dolphins, and fixing just about anything.

          He is also survived by four grandchildren and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.       

          Besides his father he was predeceased by a daughter Audra Brown.

          A Memorial Service will be held at Abundant Hope Baptist Church, 700 Willeyton Road Gates, NC, 27937, Saturday, March 4^th, at 1:00pm.

          Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Homer Funeral Home, 206 Water St., Dushore, PA.
