Gerald "Jerry" Sidney Dunham

                       Gerald “Jerry” S. Dunham, age 74, of Eagles Mere, PA, passed away peacefully at his home on February 19, 2018, with his loving wife by his side.    He was born on January 23, 1944, in Sullivan County, PA to the late Mary Ellen Higgins Dunham and James S. Dunham.  He is survived by his loving wife of 11 years, Sandy, his children, Jackie Dunham of Muncy, PA, Jeff (Amanda) Dunham of Eagles Mere, PA, Scott (Shannon) Dunham of Eagles Mere, PA, Jessica (Arlo) Reese of Fuquay Varina, NC, Heidi Turi of Montoursville, PA and 10 grandchildren.  He is also survived by his brothers James Dunham of Eagles Mere, PA and Dennis (Connie) Dunham of Elkins, WV.   Jerry graduated from the Sonestown High School a member of the class of 1962.  He served in the US Army during the Vietnam War.  He spent his life running a home construction / development business and working to keep the charm and history of Eagles Mere alive.  He was a life member of the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation, Kettle Creek Hunting Camp, North Mountain Sportsman Association and served on the Eagles Mere Lake Association board.  He was a kind and generous soul that donated so much back to the community of Eagles Mere.   He had a number of hobbies, but none bigger than the outdoors and hunting trophy size bucks.  There were many that had the pleasure of being part of those trips out west.  You could expect to hear bluegrass playing on the radio, along with a pit stop at the Machine Shed.  He loved spending days at his hunting camp, Kettle Creek, with his family and teaching them the basics of rifle marksmanship.   It will be a large task for so many of us to be in the mountains of Eagles Mere and not feel his presence!  He will be greatly missed, but his memory will live on in so many ways!   The family asks that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to the Keystone Elk Country Alliance, 134 Homestead Drive, Benezette, PA 15821 and/or the North Mountain Sportsman Association, PO Box 309, Muncy Valley, PA 17758 in memory of Jerry Dunham.   A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, February 25, 2018, at 2:00 P.M. at the Eagles Mere Community Church located at 909 Laporte Ave., Eagles Mere, PA 17731 with a reception to follow at the Eagles Mere Community Hall located next door.               Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the P.
