George Doyle Baton III

George Doyle Baton III, age 45, of Lopez, PA, died as a result of an auto accident on I-84 East on Monday, May 25, 2020. 

          George was born on July 21, 1974, in Passaic, NJ, the son of George D. Baton Jr. and Linda Ann Hallabuk Baton.  He graduated from the Sullivan County High School a member of the class of 1993.  He has been employed in the forestry business for the past several years for Nelson Tree Service, of Dayton, OH. 

          He enjoyed driving his Harley Davidson motorcycle, and having to spend time with his three nephews and his dog Chevy. He and his nephews loved to race their RC cars.

He was predeceased by his brother, Troy Scott Baton, on March 21, 2012. He was also predeceased by his maternal grandparents, Michael & Helen Sisco Hallabuk and by his paternal grandparents George Doyle & Mildred Cameron Baton Sr.

          A Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, June 6^th, 2020, at 1:00 P.M. at SS:  Peter & Paul’s Byzantine Cathollic Cemetery, Lopez, PA, with the Rev. Thomas J. Major, pastor of St. Basil’s Church, Dushore, PA, presiding.

                   Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the P. Dean Homer Funeral Home, 206 Water St., Dushore, PA.
