Duane Irvin Bacorn

Duane Irvin Bacorn, age 85, of Dushore, PA, passed away peacefully at his home with his loving wife, Mary Anne, at his side, on Saturday, March 12, 2022.

          Duane was born at home in Elkland Township, Sullivan County, PA, on October 9, 1936, a son of the late Rodney Emery and Lucille Nichols Bacorn.  He attended the Loyalsock Joint High School, Estella, PA.  He began working in the saw mill, and retired from the Lewis Lumber Company, of Hillsgrove, PA, after 38 years of employment.

He married the former Mary Anne Baer, of Dushore, PA, on July 5, 1980. They celebrated their 41^st wedding anniversary, last July.

Duane was a member of the Sullivan County Fair Association, and he loved to fish and hunt, and especially enjoyed watching NASCAR.

He was predeceased by two brothers: Dale Bacorn and Douglas Bacorn, a sister, Doris Sullivan, and a step-brother Hugh Nichols.

          A graveside service will be held at a later date, in the Hillsgrove Cemetery, Hillsgrove, PA.
