Dorothy Lucille Massey

Mrs. Dorothy L. Massey, age 91, of Laporte, PA, passed away on Friday, October 2, 2020, at Muncy Place, in Muncy, PA.

        Dorothy was born July 31, 1929, in Williamsport, PA, a daughter of the late Herbert & Mildred Dawson Campbell. She graduated from Canton High School, a member of the class of 1947.   She married James T. Massey from Sonestown, PA, on December 24, 1947, at her parents’ home in Canton. Jim predeceased her on November 23, 2019.

        Dorothy was a member of the Laporte United Methodist Church and of the Laporte Women’s Club, and formerly served on the Sullivan County School Board.

        Dorothy enjoyed feeding birds, gardening, taking pictures, bus trips, and was an avid reader.

        And several nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by brothers:  Herbert Campbell Jr., twin Dorland Campbell, Luther Campbell, and Clair Campbell.

        Funeral Services will be held on Monday, October 5, 2020, at 2:00 P.M. at the Homer Funeral Home, 206 Water St., Dushore, PA, 18614, with the Rev. Chris Long officiating.  Interment will follow in the Mountain Ash Cemetery, Laporte, PA 18626.
