Connie Campbell

Constance Elaine Campbell, age 83, of Hillsgrove, PA, passed away on Sunday morning, August 25, 2024, at the Dar-Way Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Estella, PA. 

Connie, as she was known by her family and friends, was born October 18, 1940, in Williamsport, PA, a daughter of the late Frank Eugene and Ruby Viola Montague Edkin. She graduated from the Loyalsock Area High School a member of the class of 1958. She married Carl E. Campbell of Hillsgrove on November 9, 1961. They enjoyed over 41 years of marriage before his passing on January 8, 2003. 

She was a member of the Hillsgrove United Methodist Church and the Hillsgrove Fire Company. 

She worked at the Dar-Way Nursing Home in Estella, and also sold Dutch Maid clothing. 

In previous years, she enjoyed trips to Atlantic City and traveling when she was able and being a member of the Hillsgrove Community Club. She also enjoyed monthly lunches with her cousins and playing cards with her family and friends. Shopping and chatting with her best friend Phyllis Molyneux was another favorite pastime. She always looked forward to helping with the Hillsgrove Vol. Fire Co. Bingo events. However, her greatest joy was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her brother, Donald R. Edkin on November 29, 1995. 

A Funeral Service will be held at the Hillsgrove United Methodist Church on Saturday, September 7, 2024, at 12:00 Noon with her pastor, Rev. Linda Renninger, officiating. Interment will be in adjoining church cemetery. 

Family and friends may call on Saturday, September 7, 2024, from 11:00 AM until the start of the service at 12:00 Noon.
