Chester Allen Zerby Sr.

                Chester Allen Zerby Sr., age 77, of Wysox, PA, passed away on Monday, March 16, 2020 at the Highlands Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Laporte, PA.

          Chester was born in Lock Haven, PA, on February 13, 1943, a son of the late Roy C.  Amelia G. Baysore Zerby.  He graduated from the Mill Hall High School, a member of the class of 1961.  He married the former Jo Ann Myers of Avis on January 26, 1963.  They celebrated their 57^th wedding anniversary this past January.

          Chester worked in the Lansdale area and retired as a manager from the Home Base Company.  In retirement they moved to Wysox Township, PA.  He enjoyed hunting and watching the History channel.  He was a loving spouse, father, grandfather and great grandfather.

Eight grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.  Chester was predeceased by three brothers:  Leroy Zerby, Richard Zerby and Harry Zerby; and a sister, Catherine Simparosa.

          Chester’s wishes were that his service be private and at the convenience of his family.

          Funeral arrangements were under the direction of the P. Dean Homer Funeral Home, 206 Water St., Dushore, PA.
