Mr. Charles George Johnson, age 68, of New Albany, PA, passed away on Friday evening, March 15, 2019 at the Guthrie Memorial Hospital, in Towanda, PA.
George was born on September 10, 1950, a son of the late Clinton C. “Cub” and Pearl Marie Salsbury Johnson. He was raised by his aunt and uncle, Marguerite and Meredith Molyneux, in Overton, and graduated from the Sullivan County High School, a member of the class of 1968. He worked at the former Endicott Johnson Shoe Factory and at Hoffman New Yorker. He also worked at various saw mills. Later in life he operated his own business, Johnson Custom Lumber Company.
He enjoyed going to antique tractor shows and to flea markets. He also enjoyed the outdoors, spending time hunting, fishing, and collecting Depression glass.

He was predeceased by his father on August 7, 1969, by his mother on March 17, 2007, and his brothers, Howard Edward Johnson on August 10, 1999, Larry Dale Johnson on May 26, 2010, and his niece Tara Lynn on June 8, 1993.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, March 22, 2019, at 12:00 Noon at the P. Dean Homer Funeral Home, 1 Grovedale Lane, Wyalusing, PA.
Relatives and friends may call on Friday, March 22, 2019, from 10:00 A.M. until Noon.
Memorial Contributions may be directed to the Brain Injury Association of Pennsylvania, 950 Walnut Bottom Rd, Carlisle, PA 17015.
