Chad "Carmichael" McKean

Chad Lee “Carmichael” McKean, age 37, of Towanda, PA, passed away tragically from a motorcycle accident on Sunday afternoon, August 25, 2024. 

Chad was born November 30, 1986, in Towanda, PA, a son of Carol L. McKean and the late Francis “Stick” Chilson. He grew up in Rome, PA, where he lived on the Hottle family farm. After school he continued to work on the farm. He married the former Deanna Lynn Harris on January 7, 2012. He was currently employed with Evergreen Oilfield Solutions for the last two years. 

Chad enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He had an amazing green thumb. Chad liked cutting trees and chopping wood. He recently had been making projects with wood. He loved going fast, whether it was four wheelers, dirt bikes, cars, trucks, or motorcycles. His saying was “go fast or don’t go”. He loved fishing and hunting and spending time in the woods. He liked animals, especially feeding his deer that were waiting for him to get home from work each night. He was well known as a hard worker. Chad would help anyone with anything, giving the shirt off his back. He will be sorely missed by all who knew him.

Chad is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. 

Besides his father, he was predeceased by his father-in-law Donald A. “Don” Harris on October 4, 2021. 

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, August 30, 2024, at 11:00 AM in the Homer Funeral Home, 83 Grovedale Lane, Wyalusing, PA, with Pastor Brad Crane officiating. Interment will follow in the Bradford County Memorial Park. 

Family and friends may call on Thursday evening, August 29, 2024, from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM in the Homer Funeral Home, Wyalusing, PA.
