Centa Poetschan

          Mrs. Centa Poetschan, age, 89, of Wyalusing, PA, passed away on early Friday morning, March 5, 2021, at her home with her son at her side.

          Centa was born on February 21, 1932, in Augsburg, Germany, a daughter of the late August Lechner and Maria Bachmeir Holzapfel. She married her husband, Max Poetschan on December 31, 1953. He predeceased her on February 25, 1997.

          She came to the United States in 1957, where she and Max  resided in Willow Grove, PA. Centa and Max moved to Spring Lake in 1969 where they were self-employed, having owned and operated the Spring Lake café until 1977. Then they had the Lime Hill restaurant.

          Centa loved to paint and bake cookies. She was an avid cook and liked to make wine. She enjoyed being at home in her log cabin house, doing gardening and other activities around the house.

          Funeral Services will be held on Friday, March 12th, 2021, at 11:00 A.M at the Homer Funeral Home, 83 Grovedale Ln, Wyalusing, PA, with the Rev. Jane L. O’Borski, officiating. Interment will follow in the Wyalusing Cemetery, Wyalusing, PA.

          Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday morning, March 12, 2021, from 10:00 A.M. until the start of the service at 11:00 AM.
