Mr. August “Butch” Caccia, age 77, of Orlando, FL, passed away early Tuesday, November 2, 2021.
August was born January 23, 1944, in Towanda, PA, a son of the late August and Irene C. “Snookie” Walosin Caccia O’Connor. He attended Turnpike High School in Mildred, PA.
Butch worked for Palmer Industrial Coating Inc., in Williamsport, PA, where he sandblasted and painted bridges. When he moved to Orlando, FL, he sandblasted and painted at Disney World and Sea World.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, selling items at flea markets, and attending family gatherings.

He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Besides his parents he was predeceased by two brothers: Charles E. Caccia on March 12, 2020, and Robert Caccia of Elmira, NY, on July 10, 2021, and a sister Rose Marie “Tootie” Caccia on April 23, 1965; and a step-father Donald E. O’Connor on October 25, 1968, and a grandson, Andy Caccia. He was also predeceased by his companion of 30 plus years, Rose Nai, who died in June of 2020; and also two nephews, Francis “Frankie” John Caccia on May 28, 1996, and Edward J. Fitzgerald III on October 16, 2012.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 10th, 2021, at 11:00 AM, at the Homer Funeral Home, 206 Water St., Dushore, PA 18614, with the Rev. Thomas J. Major, presiding. Interment will be in SS Peter and Paul’s Byzantine Catholic Cemetery, Lopez, PA.
