Anthony "Tony" Michael Waldron

      Anthony Michael (Tony) Waldron, age 75, of Williamsport, PA, passed away on Wednesday, June 17, 2020, at the Highland Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Laporte, PA.

        Tony was born, March 27, 1945, a son of the late Martin Joseph & Catherine Bernatavitz Waldron.  He was a member of St. Basil’s High School, class of 1963.  After school he worked for his cousin, Thomas Bernatavitz’s dental business which was called Valley Dental Lab in Sayre, PA. He then began working at the Endicott Johnson Shoe Mfg. Co. of Mildred, PA and then became one of the first employees at the Dushore Super Duper when George Radencic was the owner.

        He moved to Williamsport in 1978 but he always considered Dushore home, where he enjoyed returning to spend time with family and friends. During his frequent trips back home, he could be found traveling with friends, playing bingo, and never missing a social function.   

        His main talent was decorating, especially for Christmas. He was proud to decorate the Tiadaghton Inn in Jersey Shore, PA, where people would travel just to see his artistic work.

        While living in Williamsport, he was employed at various convenience stores in the city. Most recently, he worked at the Quick-Mart on Northway Road. He was family to many of his customers. He was known to be always joking, laughing, and teasing with them that he sold them the winning lottery ticket. He loved traveling with friends to the casinos and enjoying the different restaurants.          

        Tony was a great uncle to his nephews. He always supported them in all of their activities, and teaching them all the “fun uncle things”. He treasured any time he could spend with them.

A Celebration of life will be held at a later date. Private interment will be held in St. Basil’s Cemetery, Dushore, PA.
