Alice M Fedorchak

Alice M. Fedorchak, age 92, well known Lopez resident passed away on Monday, March 2, 2020 at AristaCare, in Montoursville, PA.  She married Michael Fedorchak of Lopez, on February 8, 1947.  They celebrated 65 years of marriage until his death on February 23, 2012.

          Alice was born in Mildred, PA on January 21, 1928 a daughter of the late John & Rose Ropeck Kososki.   Alice began working at the former Weldon Mfg. Co., in Lopez, PA and later worked at the Turnpike Elementary School Cafeteria in Mildred, PA.

          Alice was a loving and caring spouse and mother.  She was an excellent canner, cook and baker.  She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, and working crossword puzzles.

          Alice was a member of SS:  Peter & Paul’s Byzantine Catholic Church in Lopez, PA.

Four grandchildren:  Melanie Weser, Nicholas Fedorchak, Tommy Van Dyke, Kari Spinosa;  four great grandchildren:  Madlyn Weser, Lydia Spinosa, Elizabeth Spinosa and Armon Spinosa and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her son, Philip and his wife Mi Yun Lee who were killed in an earthquake in Turkey on August 16, 1999, and a grandson, Christopher Mowery of Montoursville, PA on September 26, 2015.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, March 6^th, 2020, at 11:00 A.M. at St. Francis of Assisi Church, Mildred with the Rev. Thomas J. Major, her pastor, officiating. Interment will be in SS: Peter & Paul’s Byzantine Catholic Cemetery, Lopez, PA.

Friends may call on Friday, March 6, 2020, from 9:30 to 10:30 A.M. at the Homer Funeral Home, 206 Water St., Dushore, PA.
