Alec Wayne Kapler

Newborn angel Alec Wayne Kapler, of Lopez, PA, beloved son of Katherine and Eric Kapler, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, July 8, 2021.  Alec blessed the Kapler family on Monday, May 24, 2021. He enjoyed kisses from mommy, hugs from daddy, and snuggles with all of his family throughout his 6 weeks and 4 days of life, bringing joy and happiness to everyone he touched.

Alec is survived by his parents Katherine and Eric Kapler, his adoring siblings Erika and KayLynn; maternal grandparents Albert "Pop Pop" and Jeannie "Neannie" Kapler; maternal great grandparents DeVere and Kathryn Chick, paternal grandmother Lisa Maciejczak and paternal great grandmother Elaine Barrett and Donna Carson; maternal aunt Elizabeth Kapler, maternal great aunts and uncles Donna and Scott Bowers, Karen and Bob Anderson, Roy and Flo Chick, Dale Fitzgerald Jr., Wendy Barrett Morrison and Lori Chilson; paternal aunt Shyanne Place and uncle Travis Davenport, and many loving cousins.

Alec was an active, inquisitive, happy infant who was surrounded by family and loved and cherished every minute of his life. Alec loved nothing more than watching his sisters and cousins Xander, Tessa, John and Izzy play and laugh about. Pop Pop Albert provided immense strength to Alec and to the family throughout Alec's life. 

While Alec was only with us for a short time, his love and his presence will be with us forever. Friends are welcome to join the family for a celebration of Alec's life

A Funeral Service was held on Monday, July 12, 2021, at 11:00 AM at the Homer Funeral Home, 206 Water St., Dushore, PA 18614 with the Rev. Phyllis A. Pelletier, officiating. Interment followed in St. Basil’s Cemetery, Dushore, PA. Pallbearers were Alec’s Father Eric, his Uncle Travis, his grandfather Al, and Joe Stabryla.
