Ruth was born in Crestmont, Montgomery County, PA on March 28, 1913 a daughter of the late John (Jock) & May Louisa Riddell Campbell. She graduated from the Abington Township High School, a member of the class of 1931. She attended Temple University School of Business and worked as a secretary for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Department of Welfare. She moved to Dushore in 1989 to live with Dorothy M. Schoch who predeceased her on December 17, 2002. Ruth was a member of St. Anne’s Episcopal of Abington from 1913 to 1986 and a member of St. Alban’s Anglican Church of Philadelphia from 1987 to the present. Surviving are cousins, Katherine (Carroll) Atkinson, Lynn (John) Burkhardt and god children, Christopher and Krista Schoch and their daughter Jenna of Camillus, NY and Mary & James Bish and their children Cody and Kayla of Longmont, CO. She was predeceased by a brother, Robert J. Campbell and two sisters, Mrs. Dorothy Leek and Mrs. Clare Moore. A Graveside Service will be held on Friday, July 25th at 12:00 Noon at the Hillside Cemetery, Roslyn, PA with the Reverend K. Brewster Hastings, Rector, St. Anne's Episcopal Church, Abington, presiding. Memorials are directed to the American Cancer Society, Sullivan County Unit, 1948 E. Third St., Williamsport, PA 17701.
