Rickert, age 98, of Laporte, PA passed away peacefully on Monday, May 25, 2009 at the Highlands Care Center in Laporte, PA with her loving family at her side. Betty was born in Brooklyn, NY on February 4, 1911 a daughter of the late Ernest and Catherine Hoch Fisher. She married A. Loew Rickert of Newark, NJ on July 28, 1935. He predeceased her on November 1, 1991. Betty was a homemaker and resided in Chatham, NJ and was a member of the Ogden Memorial Presbyterian Church and the women’s auxiliary. She was also active with the Chatham Women’s Club. She moved to Laporte in 2006. Betty enjoyed entertaining at home and hiking. She and her husband traveled extensively throughout their lives.
