OBITUARY
Leo Charles Barry, age 78, of Dushore, PA passed away on Thursday, March 31, 2005 at his home.
Leo was born in Dushore on September 15, 1926 a son of the late William P. & Martha G. Connor Barry. He served with the US Army during WW II in Europe, Africa and the Middle East.
Leo worked on construction his whole life as a Heavy Equipment Operator. After the war he was involved in providing electric service to rural areas in North and South Dakota and Minnesota. He later did extensive work for the Ratchford Pipeline Company, working not only locally but in Buffalo, NY; Philadelphia, PA and in Florida. He also operated his farm in Cherry Township.
Leo was a member of St. Basil’s Catholic Church in Dushore, PA and a member of McDermott Post #452 American Legion, Mildred, PA.

Also surviving are several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, William John Barry on Dec. 10, 1997.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, April 2, 2005 at 10:30 a.m. from the P. Dean Homer Funeral Home, 206 Water St., Dushore, PA and will be followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Basil’s Church, Dushore, PA with the Rev. Bryan B. Wright, pastor of St. Joachim’s Church in Meshoppen, presiding. Interment will be in the adjoining parish cemetery.
Friends may call at the P. Dean Homer Funeral Home on Friday, April 1, 2005 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.
Military Graveside services will be accorded by member of McDermott Post #452 American Legion, Mildred, PA and members are asked to assemble and pass in review on Friday evening at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
