Ambrosius from Girardville, PA on October 18, 1941 in New York City. They moved to Wilmot Township in 1944 and opened a general store in 1949. She and Vernon, who also operated a salvage yard, operated the store for 34 years, retiring on June 30, 1983. They had a sign which summed up the operation “If we don’t have it, you don’t need it.” Vernon, her husband of 48 years, passed away on December 29, 1988. Anna was a member of St. Basil’s Catholic Church in Dushore, and the former St. Francis of Assisi Church, Cummiskey (which was across the road), and was a very active in her early days.
