He was born April 14, 1922 in Home, PA, Indiana County, a son of the late Nicholas and Mary Ann Cholowski Chicosky. Joseph was employed as a welder with the Sun Ship Building company prior to serving with the US Army in WWII. Following his military duty he served many years with the US Coast Guard as an engineer. Upon his retirement in the early nineteen eighties he retired to Wyalusing. He enjoyed reading and was an avid fisherman. Surviving: Sisters: Helen Lundy West Burlington, PA Estelle Smales Wyalusing, PA Brother: Harry Chicosky Downington, PA Joseph was also survived by several nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by three brothers; Leon, John, and Anthony. There will be no calling hours, the funeral service will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
