Cain, age 86, of 239 Overton Road, Dushore, PA passed away on Thursday, May 1, 2008 at the Highlands Care Center, Laporte, PA. Bob was born in Dushore, November 13, 1921 son of the late Henry J. & Marcella G. Scanlin Cain. He graduated from St. Basil’s High School, a member of the class of 1942. He worked for Harrington and Company Creamery, Dushore, PA and also for its successor, Dolly Madison Ice Cream Co. He later worked at the Dushore Lingerie Mfg. Co. of Dushore from which he retired. He has resided at Sullivan Terrace, Dushore, for the past 21 years. He enjoyed the outdoors and especially caring for his lawn and grounds. Bob was a member of St. Basil’s Church in Dushore and a member of the former Holy Name Society. Surviving: Brother and sister-in-law: Dr. Francis J. (Sugar) Cain and his sister-in-law Mary Carroll Cain of Amherst, NY and seven nieces, and one nephew, and numerous grand-nieces, grand-nephews and cousins. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, May 6, 2008 at 2:00 P.M. from the P. Dean Homer, 206 Water St., Dushore, PA and followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 2:30 P.M. at St. Basil’s Church, Dushore, PA with the Rev. Bert S. Kozen, his pastor, presiding. Interment will be in St. Basil’s Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from on Tuesday from 1:00 P.M. until the time of the service.
