OBITUARY
March 23, 2008
Mezzie Wolgin, 64, local artist, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, March 22nd. Mrs. Wolgin was killed in an automobile accident in Picture Rocks, Pennsylvania. She was born in 1943 in New Britain, Ct., received a B.A. degree in political science from St. Joseph’s College in Hartford, Ct. and did post-graduate work in fine arts at Southern Connecticut University. At the time of her death she was residing in Eagles Mere, Pennsylvania.
Mrs. Wolgin lived in Northern Virginia for thirty years and was a past president of the Springfield Art Guild and a member of a number of other local groups including the Begonia and Herb Societies and the Vienna Art Guild. She was an active member of Manassas Assembly of God in Bristow, Virginia.
She was preceded in death by her father Rudolph Mazzalupo of Bradenton, Fl... She is survived by her husband, Jerome Wolgin, her daughters, Sara-Anne and husband Rev. Chris Caudle of Wendell, NC and Samantha and husband Casey Mattox of Burke, Va., her mother, Mrs. Rose Mazzalupo of Williamsport, Pa., her brother, David Mazzalupo of Greensburg, Pa. and four grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held at the Eagles Mere Community Church on Wednesday, March 26 at 3:00 PM.
A viewing will take place at the P. Dean Homer Funeral Home, 206 Water St., Dushore, PA on at 1:00 on Wednesday, March 26. A celebration of life service will be held at a later date in Northern Virginia. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Living Hope Fellowship Church building fund, RR 1 Box 1095, Forksville, PA 18616.
