Obituary
Mrs. Ruth Adams Schilling, age 92, of Sun City Center, FL and Sullivan County passed away on June 5, 2005.
Ruth was born in Dunmore, PA on February 7, 1913 a daughter of the late Lynn G. & Gertrude Matthews Adams.
She married Richard Wayne Shelley of Forksville, PA and Wayne, a Navy Pilot, was killed in action over the Pacific in 1944 during WWII.
She married Nicholas Schilling at St. John’s-in-the-Wilderness Episcopal Church in Eagles Mere and he predeceased her in 1990 after 32 years of marriage. She and Nick, a retired steel company executive, traveled extensively throughout the world.
Ruth was a member of St. John the Divine Episcopal Church in Ruskin, FL and a member of St. John’s-in-the-Wilderness Episcopal Church in Eagles Mere, PA.
Surviving:
A niece and spouse, Janice & David Hamrick, of Ocala, FL and Sullivan County, PA.
Grand nephew: Scott S. Hamrick, of Gilbertsville, PA
Grand niece: Christina Lynn Thompson of Plano, TX
She was predeceased by a brother, Donald W. Adams of Bryn Mawr, PA in 1991.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, July 9th at 11:00 A.M. at St. John’s-in-the-Wilderness Episcopal Church, Eagles Mere, PA with The Rev. Virginia Heistand-Jones, officiating.
Memorials are directed to Lifepath Hospice, 3725 Upper Creek Rd., Ruskin, FL 33573 or to the Salvation Army.
