Rohe, age 85, of Cherry Township, Sullivan County, PA passed away peacefully at the Highlands in Laporte, PA on Friday, July 1, 2005. Rita was born in Albany Township on July 7, 1919 a daughter of the late Patrick J. & Anna J. Murphy Finan. She married Arthur W. Rohe of Cherry Township on April 22, 1946. She helped Art with his renowned potato farm until his passing on May 4, 1991. Rita was a loving spouse and mother, homemaker and a great pie and cookie baker. She was very active member of St. Basil’s Catholic Church and Altar & Rosary Society. She an Extraordinary Minister of the Eucharist and was involved in many activities, including the 4th of July Picnic and spaghetti suppers. She was also a 40yr. volunteer for the Red Cross Bloodmobile. Rita always thought of others before herself and all who knew her loved her. Surviving: Three sons: Richard P. Rohe Monee, IL Kevin A. Rohe Dushore, PA Stephen W. Rohe Hughesville, PA Daughter: Mary Denise Daniels Montoursville, PA. Sister: Geraldine Arey Dushore, PA 5 grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister; Mary McCarty of Dushore, PA and two brothers; Vincent (Pete) Finan and Leonard (Pop) Finan. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 5, 2005 at 10:30 a.m. from the P. Dean Homer Funeral Home, 206 Water Street, Dushore, PA and will be followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Basil’s Church, at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. Bert S. Kozen, her pastor, presiding. Interment will be in St. Basil’s Cemetery, Dushore, PA. Friends may call at the P. Dean Homer Funeral Home on Tuesday, July 5th, 2005 from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
