Theresa was born October 20, 1928 in Mildred, PA a daughter of the late Claudio (Kline) & Clara Fiocca Ricci. She graduated from the Cherry Township High School a member of the class of 1946, and later attended Penn State University for continuing education throughout her years at the Turnpike Elementary School. She married Lewis Vincent Walsh of Mildred, on May 9, 1947 and they celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary before Lewis’s death on February 12, 1998. Theresa worked at the former Endicott Johnson Shoe Factory in Mildred and the Ben Franklin Store in Dushore, and later served as the Food Service Administrator for Turnpike Elementary School in Mildred, PA retiring after 40 years of service. Theresa was an active member of St. Francis of Assisi Church in Mildred, PA and was a member of St. Basil’s / St. Francis Altar and Rosary Society. She was an outstanding cook and would help her church and countless friends and relatives on birthdays, anniversaries, deaths and also assisted her brother Francis in his catering business for many years. Ricci Dushore, PA Jack Ricci Riverside, CA Daniel Ricci Montrose, PA Sisters and brothers-in-law: Rosalie & John Molchan Tunkhannock, PA Dolly and Gerald Sick Mildred, PA Three grandchildren: Kevin Walsh Blakeslee, PA Maureen Walsh Philadelphia, PA Taylor Potter South Branch, PA Numerous nieces and nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by a son, Michael J. Walsh on March 8, 2005 and a brother, Claude Peter Ricci on Oct. 6, 2003. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, Jan. 10, 2007 at 10:00 A.M. from the P. Dean Homer Funeral Home, 206 Water St., Dushore, PA and will be followed by as Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 A.M. at St. Francis of Assisi Church, Mildred, PA with the Rev. Bert S. Kozen, her pastor, presiding. Interment will be in the adjoining parish cemetery. Friends may call on Wednesday, Jan. 9th from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M.
