OBITUARY
Mr. Jack Milne, age 72, well known Wyalusing resident, passed away on Tuesday, December 11, 2007 at the Robert Packer Hospital, Sayre, PA.
Jack was born on October 17, 1935, in West Pittston, PA, a son of the late Peter and Marguerite Lake Milne. He graduated from Wyalusing High School in the class of 1953. After graduation he joined the United States Marine Corps., where he did his training on Parris Island, SC, and then served as an MP in New Orleans, LA. Upon leaving the service Jack returned to Wyalusing where he met and married his wife, the former Patronia Rail, of Tunkhannock, on May 3, 1963. He worked at Arrow United for a few years then went to work at Sylvania, where he retired after 28 years. In retirement he continued to operate his business Milne Carpet Cleaning.
Jack was a member of the Wyalusing Fire Co, where he helped set up and organized the game booths at the carnival. He was also a member the Wyalusing American Legion Post #534, and the Marine Corps League, Towanda, PA. Jack enjoyed going to the casinos in Atlantic City, he was very active in the LeRaysville Minstrel, having performed in most recent production in November. He liked going for walks, and spending time with his grandchildren and family. He really enjoyed being outside and doing yard work.

He was also survived by several cousins. He was predeceased by an infant son in 1967.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, December 15, 2007, at 11:00 A.M. at the P. Dean Homer Funeral Home, 1 Grovedale Lane, Wyalusing, PA, with the Rev. Diane Prentice presiding. Interment will be in the Wyalusing Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday evening from 5:00 till 8:00 P.M...
