OBITUARY
Mrs. Anna C. Bagdon, age 83, of LeRaysville, PA passed away on Friday evening at the Robert Packer Hospital, Sayre, PA.
Anna was born on March 4, 1922 in Port Griffith, PA. She moved to this area with her parents, the late Joseph & Cassie Moleski Yanuicz, as a very young child and remained in Stevensville throughout her lifetime. She was a graduate of the Camptown High School.
She married Carl Bagdon on June 17, 1955, and together they raised four sons. They would have celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in June.
The last 30 years of Anna’s employment was with the Wyalusing School District as a Car Route driver transporting the children with special need from Wyalusing to Towanda or their classes. She was a longtime member of the School Bus Drivers Association. She had much patience and understanding with these children, and still followed many of their lives when they went beyond school days.
She enjoyed her family and especially the little ones as the grandchildren arrived and later the great grandchildren. Many people will remember her as she did her crocheting and craft shows for many years. Her presence was common at local Penny Socials and she was seldom absent from her favorite Bingo nights.
Besides her husband, Carl, she leaves surviving the following: 3 sons and daughters-in-law: Stanley Colegrove Jr., of Stevensville; Joseph & Marlene Colegrove of Laceyville; and Edward and Carol Colegrove of Laceyville: Daughter-in-law, Erma Bagdon of Wyalusing; Sisters and brother-in-law: Mary Jones and Catherine and Carl Randall, both of Stevensville; brother, William Yanavitch of Waverly, NY; Sisters-in-law, Betty Yanavitch and Martha Yanavitch both of Stevensville. There are five grandchildren: Edward Scott Colegrove and Tammy Colegrove both of Bloomsburg, PA, Michael Colegrove and Robert (Heather) Colegrove of Laceyville, PA and Steve Colegrove. Also, 4 great grandchildren, Samantha, Patrick, Andrew and Brianna; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son, Tony Bagdon in May 2001 and two brothers, Anthony Yanavitch and Joseph Yanavitch.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, April 26th at the P. Dean Homer Funeral Home, 1 Grovedale Lane, Wyalusing, PA with the Rev. Glenn R. Kennedy, pastor of the Stevensville Presbyterian Church, officiating. Interment will be in the Stevensville Cemetery.
Friends may call at the P. Dean Homer Funeral Home, on Monday, April 25th from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M.
The family will provide the flowers and suggest that memorial donations be made to the H.O.P.S. Ambulance Association, % James W. Seipler, RR 1 Box 280, Rome, PA 18837.
