OBITUARY
Francis J. (Pinky) Andrewlavage, age 82, of Lopez, PA passed away on Thursday, July 07, 2005 at the Memorial Hospital, Towanda, PA.
Pinky was born in Mildred, PA on February 12, 1923 one of nine children of the late Stanley Anthony and Eva Bohantka Andrewlavage. He served in WWII in the US Army Infantry with the 702nd Tank Battalion; he was wounded twice in the Northern France Campaign and also served in the Rhineland and Central Europe Campaigns. He was awarded a Purple Heart with 1 Oak Leak Cluster.
After the war he settled in New Jersey where he married Emily “Millie” Stavisky, of Lopez, PA on May 18, 1946. He worked for the Pantasote Corp. in Passaic, NJ for over 37 years, retiring to Lopez in 1989.
He enjoyed hunting and fishing and being with his grandchildren.
Pinky was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Mildred, PA and was a member of the White Ash Land Association and McDermott Post #452 American Legion, Mildred, PA.

7 grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by five brothers: Stanley, Joseph, John, William and Edward and three sisters; Josephine Patson, Alice Krysick and Ann Marie Shaak.
Funeral service will be held on Monday, July 11, 2005 at 10:30 a.m. from the P. Dean Homer Funeral Home, 206 Water Street, Dushore, PA and will be followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Francis of Assisi Church, Mildred, PA, at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. Bert S. Kozen, his pastor, presiding. Interment will be in St. Vladimir’s Orthodox Cemetery, Lopez, PA.
Friends may call at the P. Dean Homer Funeral Home on Sunday, July 10th, 2005 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.
Graveside Military Services will be accorded by member of McDermott Post #452 American Legion, Mildred, PA. Members are asked to assemble and pass-in-review on Sunday at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
