DEAN HOMER FUNERAL HOME 206 WATER STREET PO BOX 1 DUSHORE, PA 18614 TEL 570 928-8163 FAX 570 928-8116 Email pdh@epix.net Obituary Mrs. Mary Rosamond Litzelman, age 87, wife of LaRue Litzelman, of 1907 Campbellville Road, New Albany, PA passed away peacefully on Saturday morning, October 11, 2008 at her home in Forks Township. Mary was born September 21, 1921 on Bear Mountain, Estella, a daughter of the late Frank W. & Laura Birdsall Vargason. She graduated from Loyalsock High School, a member of the class of 1940. She and her husband LaRue were very involved in timbering and operating a small sawmill their whole lives. Mary could repair most of the equipment and also operated the dozer as well as any professional logger. Mary spent her life taking care of her husband and enjoyed visiting with her family and friends throughout Sullivan County. Surviving: her spouse, LaRue; two nieces, Jane Hoover of Forksville, and Mary Ann Loose of Hamburg, PA; two great nephews, Jim Hoover of Etters and John Hoover of Likens and three grand nieces Renee Faus, of Millville, Kathleen Davis of Mohnton and Denise Laity of Bernville, PA. She was also survived by her two close friends and caregivers, George and Patricia Wettlaufer of Dushore, PA. She was predeceased by a sister, Eleanor Edkins of Forksville, PA. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, October 15, 2008 at 10:30 A.M. at the P. Dean Homer Funeral Home, 206 Water St., Dushore, PA with the Rev. Darcy Miller, officiating. Interment will be in the Greenwood Cemetery, Elkland Township, PA. Friends may call on Wednesday, from 9:30 A.M. at the Homer Funeral Home until the time of the service.
