Obituary - Richard Eugene Rouse Richard Eugene Rouse of Stafford, Virginia passed away on August 4, 2008, in Potomac Hospital in Woodbridge, Virginia, surrounded by his family, after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. Richard was born on July 29, 1952 in Sayre, PA, the son of the late William J. and Pauline Neuber Rouse of Dushore, PA. Richard attended Saint Basil’s School in Dushore, PA until the school closed and then he transferred to the Sullivan County High School in Laporte, PA, where he graduated as a member of the class of 1970. He played sports and was a member of the basketball team in high school. He attended Williamsport Vocational School and when he graduated he became an electrician. Richard grew up on the family farm in Dushore and moved to Virginia in the 1970’s. Richard worked for the Northern Virginia Community College as an electrician for 27 years. He also established and operated his own business as a certified electrician. Richard was a loving husband, father, brother, brother- in-law, uncle and friend. He loved sports, especially watching his son, Ricky, play baseball. He was also an avid Redskins Football Fan. He married Patricia Anderson on July 28, 1989. Surviving: Wife, Patricia Two daughters: Jennifer, age 18, Stephanie, age 15; son, Ricky, age 12 2 dogs, Jasmine and Sadie, cat, Pretzel, and bunny, Carmel. Three sisters: Kathleen (Mark) Arpa Vienna, VA Rosemary (David) Meisner Manila, Philippines Twin sister Dolores (William) Inch Vienna, VA One brother: James Rouse Dushore, PA Four sisters-in-law: Diane (Billy) Sprouse, Stafford, VA Eva Sue Anderson, Triangle, VA Faith Lee Sprouse, Woodbridge, VA Shirley Rouse, Austin, TX Seven brothers-in-law: Glenn (Teresa) Anderson, Triangle, VA James Anderson, Arlington, VA Johnny Anderson, Alexandria, VA Michael (Sandy) Anderson, Woodbridge, VA Richard Anderson, Colonial Beach, VA Roy (Gay) Anderson, Kingston, TN William (Beaver) Anderson, Woodbridge, VA Aunts : Arlene Neuber Wilmot, PA Betty (Dana) Horton Athens, PA Helen Keating Elmira, NY Numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his father, William J. Rouse on September 1, 2000, his mother, Pauline R. Rouse on December 29, 2006, and his brother, William R. Rouse on July 13, 1996. Friends may call at the Mullins and Thompson Funeral Home, 186 Shelton Shop Road, in Stafford, Virginia on Thursday, August 7 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. on August 8 at St. William of York Catholic Church, 3130 Jefferson Davis Highway, Stafford, VA 22554.
