She had been a resident in the Skilled Nursing Unit where she was lovingly cared for and will be missed. PeeWee was born March 23, 1925, in Moxie, PA, a daughter of the late Lester and Mildred Quick Canfield. Loueva attended the Moxie School for first through eighth grade, and then graduated from the Wyalusing High School in 1943. She married Carl Wells on October 14, 1946. They just celebrated their 62nd wedding anniversary. Loueva worked at Anseco Film Co., Rynveld’s Wreath Factory, and Dushore Lingerie, from which she retired when it closed. She was a life long member of the Moxie Community Church. PeeWee was well known for having a vast variety of Christmas cookies which she supplied to many friends and neighbors. She enjoyed reading and needlework. She was a little woman with a great big heart. She was predeceased by a brother Wallace Canfield, and a grandson Justin Wells. A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, October 19, 2008 at 2:00 P.M. at the P. Dean Homer Funeral Home, 1 Grovedale Lane, Wyalusing, PA, with the Pastor Howard D. Carr presiding. Friends may call on Sunday from 1:00 P.M. until the time of the service.
