Frances was born August 20, 1913 in Lairdsville, PA daughter of the late Corson & Jenny Houseknecht McClintock. She owned and operated the High Knob Inn for 23 years. In retirement Frances led an active life and was an avid bingo player and enjoyed playing many card games, especially pinochle and frequently traveled to Atlantic City and Las Vegas. Surviving: Two daughters: Shirley McCarty Hughesville, PA Joan Hobbs Hillsgrove, PA Five grandchildren and spouses: Pat (Kelley) Hobbs Hillsgrove, PA Cindy (Rick) McCarty “ Candy (Chris) Coakley Hughesville, PA Suzanne (Donald) Smith Jr. Hillsgrove, PA Donna (Roger) Bender Hughesville, PA Six great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews; she was predeceased by a sister, Hilda Lewis and a brother, Donald McClintock and a grandson, Robin Hobbs. A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, February 25 at 5:00 P.M. at the P. Dean Homer Funeral Home, 206 Water St., Dushore, PA with Chris Coakley officiating. Friends may call from 4:00 P.M. to the time of the service. The family will provide the flowers and request that memorial contributions be directed to the American Cancer Society, Sullivan County Unit, 1948 E.
