OBITUARY
Joseph Francis Kesnow, of Sheshequin Township, Bradford County, PA passed away on Wednesday afternoon at the Robert Packer Hospital, Sayre, PA.
Joseph Kesnow was born in Utica, NY on September 25, 1919 a son of the late Frank & Mary Sniadach Kiersznowski. He graduated from the Utica Free Academy in 1938 and later joined the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Baltimore District Office where he worked during WWII. While in Baltimore he married the former Rosalie (Bunny) Bunn of Zebulon, NC on December 28, 1946.
Joe was accepted at The Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, NY from which he received a Degree of Bachelor of Architecture in June of 1948. He worked for Raymond Viner Hall, Registered Architect, in Port Allegany, PA from 1948 to 1954. He received his certificate to practice Architecture in Pennsylvania in August 1951.
In July of 1954, Joe opened an office to practice Architecture in Towanda, PA. In November of that year he received the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards Certificate. He practiced until October 1, 1981 when he sold his practice. He consulted with the office until he retired in 1984.
Joe was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Towanda, PA.

Numerous nieces & nephews. He was predeceased by a Son: Richard B. Kesnow in 1970 and a son Douglas J. Kesnow in 2000; and brothers Edward Kiersznowski and Chester Kiersznowski and a sister, Stella Wilson.
Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, September 4th at 1:00 P.M. at the First United Methodist Church, Towanda, PA with the Rev. Richard M. Barner, his pastor, officiating. Interment will be in the Oak Hill Cemetery, Towanda, PA.
The family will provide the flowers and direct donations to the Towanda Public Library, or the First United Methodist Church, Towanda, PA 18848
