Loretta was born in Stroudsburg, PA on February 28, 1914 daughter of the late Orrin & Almeda Shaffer Prichard. She was raised by her grandparents who had a farm across from the Litzelman farm in Cherry Township. She married George A. Litzelman Sr. of Dushore, PA on April 27, 1931. George predeceased her on March 19, 1989 after 57 years of marriage. She was a homemaker and loved knitting and making crafts and made many doll babies over the years and enjoyed keeping exotic birds and pets. Loretta was a member of St. Basil’s Catholic Church in Dushore and a member of its Altar and Rosary Society. Surviving: Four Sons: Gerald (Lois) Litzelman Orange Park, FL Bernard (Elaine) Litzelman Dushore, PA Donald (Shirley) Litzelman Dushore, PA Gordon (Sandy) Litzelman Dushore, PA Daughters: Mary Jane Trasco Dushore, PA Marlene Pardoe Forksville, PA Son-in-law: Carl Joseph Broschart Dushore, PA Daughter-in-law: Ann Litzelman Bryceville, FL 27 grandchildren, 39 great grandchildren 30 great great grandchildren, 1 great great great granddaughter and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a daughter, Marie J. Broschart on September 11, 1973 and a son, George A. Litzelman Jr. on March 3, 2008 and a sister Iva Carson and a great grandson, Maximus Litzelman on February 11, 2009 and an infant grandson, Christopher Stewart. A Transferal Service will be held on Monday, March 9, 2009 at 10:00 A.M. from the P. Dean Homer Funeral Home, 206 Water St., Dushore, PA and will be followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 A.M. at St. Basil’s Church, Dushore, PA with the Rev. Joseph R. Hornick, her pastor, presiding. Interment will be in St. Basil’s Cemetery. Friends may call at the Homer Funeral Home on Sunday from 2:00 to 4:00 P.M. and from 7:00 to 9:00 P.M. Members of St. Basil’s – St. Francis Altar and Rosary Society will recite the Rosary at 3:00 P.M. on Sunday afternoon at the funeral home.
