Pirritano a 40-year resident of Lionville (Chester County, PA) died of lung cancer, February 20th at the Neighborhood Hospice, West Chester. She was admitted to the Chester County Hospital on February 13th and transferred to the Hospice February 18th. On February 12th she observed her 75th birthday. Dorothy was born at home in Lopez, PA, the eldest daughter of Conrad and Sue Huray Delovich. A 1951 graduate of Cherry Township H.S., she was a homemaker throughout her married life with a brief exception of several years while her daughter attended college. She was a dedicated gardener with a “green thumb”, finding much enjoyment tending to her flowers throughout the seasons. A superb seamstress, as was her mother, Dorothy was able to make many items, and could repair any garment that was presented to her. She was particularly proud to have been able to participate in a project for Chester County Hospital, converting drapery material into heart shaped pillows, given to cardiac patients on their discharge from the hospital. A long time member and past president of the Lionville Village League, she also volunteered in the Meals on Wheels program in the Exton area, and was a member of the Chic Chapeaux, the local chapter of Red Hats. But above all, she was a devoted grandmother to her grandsons. Surviving are husband Roy of nearly fifty years, daughter Susan and son in-law Scott Aharonian of Bowmansville, Lancaster County and grandsons Adam and Alex. Her sister Marian Hubiak resides in Essex MD. A memorial service will be held Monday, March 2nd at 10:00 A.M. at St Francis of Assisi Church, Mildred, PA with Father Joseph R. hornick, pastor, presiding. St Francis is the church where Dorothy and Roy were married. Interment will be private at SS Peter and Paul Byzantine Catholic Cemetery, Lopez, Pa. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Lung Association, 1857 E Third St., Williamsport, PA 17701. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the P.
