Born June 22, 1946 in Peckville, PA, she was a daughter of Elizabeth Theresa (Wiorkowski) Bliss of New Albany, PA and the late Carl W. Bliss, who predeceased her on October 24, 1982. She was a 1964 graduate of Wyalusing high school. She was also a 1967 graduate of the Robert Packer Hospital School of Medicine, Sayre, PA. Linda was employed at the Towanda Memorial Hospital for over thirty years as a Registered Nurse. She enjoyed reading, traveling, gardening, and was a gambler at heart. She was a member of St. Basil’s Church, Dushore, PA. In addition to her mother, she is survived by two daughters; Nicole McPherson of Cherry Hill, NJ and Deanne McPherson of Monterey, CA; two brothers: Carl and wife Linda Bliss of San Diego, CA, Michael and wife Sandi Bliss of Peoria, AZ, and a sister, Elizabeth Trine of Powell, PA. She is also survived by special nieces Carly & Hannah Bliss, and several aunts, uncles, and numerous cousins A Transfer service will begin at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, Jan. 14th at the P. Dean Homer Funeral Home, 206 Water Street, Dushore, PA and will be followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM in St. Basil’s Church, Dushore, PA with the Rev. Joseph R. Hornick, presiding. Interment will follow in the adjoining St. Basil’s Church Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday Jan. 13th from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 PM. Members of St. Basil-St. Francis Altar and Rosary Society will recite the rosary at 3:00 P.M.
