Rose was born in Dushore, PA on July 14, 1923 a daughter of the late Henry and Ruth Miller Obert. She graduated from St. Basil’s High School in Dushore, PA a member of the class of 1941. Rose married Joseph M. Stevens of Endicott, NY on January 13, 1948. Rose and Joe moved to Manhattan Beach, CA where Joe worked in the aerospace industry. Rose worked for many years as a registrar for the Los Angeles City School System. They relocated to Endicott, NY in 2006. Rose was a former member of St. Basil’s Church, Dushore, PA. Surviving: Spouse: Joseph at home Two daughters: Shari Vaona Los Angeles, CA Tawn Isker Buellton, CA Brothers: Richard L. Obert Dushore, PA John Obert Olalla, WA Two Sisters: Patricia A. Sick Land O Lakes, FL Kathryn F. Obert Hudson, FL Two grandchildren and four great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son, Breck Michael Stevens, and brothers, James Obert and Raymond Obert. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, June 13th, 2007 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Basil’s Catholic Church, Dushore, PA with the Rev. Bert S. Kozen, pastor, presiding. Interment will be in St. Basil’s Cemetery, Dushore, PA. Friends may call at the church from 10:30 A.M. until the time of the Mass. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the P. Dean Homer Funeral Home, 206 Water St., Dushore, PA. The family will provide the flowers and request that memorials be directed to the American Cancer Society, Sullivan County Unit, 1948 E. 3rd St., Williamsport, PA 17701.
