Camphire, age 65, of Dushore, PA passed away on Sunday, March 08, 2009 at the Memorial Hospital, Towanda, PA. Gary was born in Bradford, PA on October 19, 1943 a son of the late Roscoe William & Mary Barnett Camphire. He graduated from the Bradford High School a member of the class of 1961 and from Mansfield University in 1966 with a degree in Science. He began teaching at the Wyalusing Valley High School in 1966. Gary married the former Carol Horner of Union, NJ on January 28, 1967. Carol was also a teacher in the Wyalusing School District. They recently celebrated their 42nd wedding anniversary. Gary continued his education at Penn State University. Gary was a well respected Math and Science teacher at Wyalusing and retired after 30 years of service. Gary was a member of the Lovelton Community Bible Church, a 32° Mason, a member of Wyalusing Lodge #618 F.&A.M. and a life member of the N.R.A. Surviving: Two daughters: Nicole Shaulis Camphire Easton, PA Arianne Elayne Camphire Takoma Park, MD Brother: George and Janet Camphire Danville, OH Sister: Virginia Downey Bradford, PA Sisters-in-law Barbara Salisbury Sonoma, CA Nancy and Dr. Albert Breland San Diego, CA Several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, March 12, 2009 at 4:00 P.M. at the P. Dean Homer Funeral Home, 1 Grovedale Lane, Wyalusing, PA with Pastor Doug Mills, officiating. Interment will be private in the Colley Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 2:00 to 4:00 P.M. to the time of the service. The family will provide all flowers and request that no flowers be sent and ask that memorial contributions be directed to N.R.A., P. O.
